Bangladesh is an agro-based country with close to 50% of the population earning their means through agriculture. People working in this sphere require savings to invest in their business and DISA provides them with support through its Agriculture Sector Micro Credit (ASM) programme. There are three sectors in this programme: a) Agriculture loan b) Non-Agriculture c) Agriculture Product Purchase. This programme aims to develop and modernize the agriculture system of our country. As of April 2024, the loan outstanding is BDT 153.71 million with 846 borrowers.
