People with a daily energy consumption of less than 1600 Kcal are considered to be Ultra-Poor (UP). These ultra poor people do not have access to education, food, health services, and other basic needs. DISA provides loans to the ultra-poor population under their BUNIAD component in order to enhance their income and livelihood. This component is operated across all branches of DISA. As of April 2024, BUNIAD's loan outstanding is BDT 22.07 million with 2,129 borrowers.
