The concept of micro-credit is now widely accepted across the countries as a weapon to fight poverty where poverty presents. However, we passed a very hard time to arrange the loanable funds. So becoming a partner like PKSF type funding organization was a great achievement for us. In this occasion, I want to thank PKSF management for the timely recognition. My special gratitude goes to the field staff of our micro-credit branches who have done tremendous job in building the foundation of our micro-credit program drop by drop. PKSF’s partnership has built the confidence to all of the staffs of DISA including myself that will certainty be helpful in achieving our goal.
In the year, we continued our working with working children with the assistance of Manusher Jonne through UCEP-Bangladesh. The child development initiative through Child Abuse prevention program has been started from 2003 with the assistance of Save the Children Sweden-Denmark which is becoming integrated approaching towards an integrated child development program by initiating Aloghar project.
We are getting extensive support from IOM, USAid, Ministry of Home, GoB, MCC, Housing Fund and BRAC in our different programs. I want to pass my appreciation to them.
Finally, I would like to thank all of my colleagues at DISA for their relentless effort to make all the programs successful during the year. Thanks go to the donors/ partners, who have provided us financial and technical assistance in implementing all of the programs. I like to thank Executive Committee (EC) and General Committee (GC) members for their time and support for smooth implementation of the project activities. My sincerest appreciation goes to all of the micro-credit group members, child groups and beneficiaries of other programs for their cooperation.
