DISA started working in Comilla, Bangladesh in 1993 in response to the credit needs of the rural poor. Since then, DISA’s primary strategy has been to identify the needs of our society and to provide financial, advisory and other supports to mitigate the sufferings of them, specially the poor women, through various projects.
Our programs are so designed that they aim to empower women by providing financial assistance so that they can engage themselves in income generating activities. We closely monitor the progress, and provide advisory and training services in full extent. Besides, we extend in our credit areas with health, education, sanitation environment, nutrition services and other efforts to make it integrated, result-based and goal- oriented.
I want to convey my warm gratitude to all of our friends, especially our staff members, who play the central role in making our efforts successful and taking the donors, and other concerns in the journey with us.
