Governance

For ensuring the effective and efficient program operations, maintain reliable financial data, controlling rules, regulations and procedures of the organization; DISA practice a good governance system through two committees: General Committee and Executive Committee. The committees are the policy makers and controllers of DISA- who are also responsible to meet its vision and avoid legal conflict with the government laws and policies. The policies and documentation practice, segregation of staff duties, supervision at every level and accountability have made DISA transparent.

General Body: DISA has a General Body consisting of Twenty (20) members, which is the prime authority for formulating policies and strategies, approval of periodical budget and look after program implementation. The members are General body of DISA are from different professions but all of them are social workers and likeminded- for which they came under one roof. Executive Committee (EC): DISA has an Executive Committee (EC) presently consisting of Seven (07) members experienced in different development sectors. The members of EC are elected from General Body through a democratic voting and election system. The EC is the authority to ensure dynamic and efficient administration and management of the organization, plan and execute development programs, control finance and accounts and look after personnel and program issues. The Chief Executive is the Secretary of EC and the management head. Besides the Annual General Meeting (AGM), all members of the General Body and the Executive Committee sat in eight (08) meetings per year for providing policy guidance; review of over all activities of the organization and taking major decisions on organizational matters.
